About Amber Valley Stone Ltd

Amber Valley Stone Ltd was established following a management buyout from Amber Precast in January 2020. They specialise in manufacturing and supplying three specifications of Cast Stone and Precast products to private individuals, major commercial projects, and housebuilding developments across the UK. With over 75 employees, Amber Valley Stone Ltd operates from two sites located in Somercotes, Derbyshire.

Project requirements

Amber Valley Stone Ltd had been facing significant challenges with their previous Managed Service Provider (MSP), including slow resolution times and poor project and account management. These issues were hindering their daily operations, resulting in them seeking out a new MSP partner to support their IT needs and upcoming growth plans. Their immediate requirements included:

Planning & implementation

Planning stage

The planning phase of our project was meticulous and thorough. Tom Ward from DuoCall MSP visited our head office to review our existing infrastructure and cloud services. His knowledgeable and non-pushy approach enabled us to explore and fully understand all the immediate and long-term IT solutions available to us.

As the project progressed, Jacob Creswick conducted a site survey to ensure all our requirements were being met and to discuss further options. Matt Bishop provided additional support, fine-tuning our order and answering any additional questions we had before committing to the project.

Installation stage

The installation phase went smoothly, alleviating any initial anxieties we had about transitioning our IT support over to a third party and setting up a new site link and infrastructure simultaneously. DuoCall MSP’s Dave Wilkinson and Jack Harvey provided exceptional support during the onboarding and installation process, making the process seamless and even enjoyable!

With regards to the new infrastructure and caballing for our new manufacturing site, the engineers that attended our site were very professional and more than accommodating to our needs. They even assisted where things had changed ever so slightly to the scope of works.
